The MITSU-BISHI 8800 is a pencil produced before the late 1990s.
It's been at least 20 years.
This is a discontinued vintage pencil.
Mitsubishi was founded in 1887 under the name of Masaki Pencil Manufactory.
In 1952, the company name was changed to Mitsubishi (Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Ltd.).
As a representative stationery brand in Japan that still produces pencils,
Mitsubishi Pencil is not affiliated with the war criminal company Mitsubishi Group.
Although the name and logo are the same, many people are misunderstood that they are the same company.
Because there were no overlapping business fields between the two companies
It is said that they agreed to use the same mark (three diamond mark).
But a lot of people think it's the same company.
After the mid-1980s, the uni mark was used instead of the three diamond mark.
Mitsubishi was also distinguished by putting a hyphen in the middle to indicate MITSU-BISHI.
