The Beginners 308 is a pencil from the 1980s.
It is a vintage pencil that is 30-40 years old.
Dixon was founded in 1827 by Joseph Dixon.
In the early days, crucibles (containers used to melt metal) were sold mainly made of graphite.
So you can see the crucible logo on Dixon's early pencils.
In 1873, Dixon was founded in Ticondero Street, New York City.
