Yacht 554 is a pencil produced between 1954 and 67.
It's a 50-60-year-old vintage pencil.
Yacht was founded in 1916 under the name of Dongyang Stationery Pencil Works.
In 1933, the company name was changed to Yacht Pencil.
Until the 1950s, it was on par with Mitsubishi and Tombow Pencils.
The brand went bankrupt in 1967 and is now extinct.
It's made for thin writing.
It has a hard pencil lead.
at 4H hardness
The pencil lead is soft and hard, so there is little seam wear.
There is almost no smudging, so you can feel the clean feeling.
Pencils and packages are marked with (former) JIS marks.

I marked it on a pencil.
